BEST EVER COFFEE CAKE!  You Will Love This Breakfast Cake!

Ingredients needed:
1-1/4 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup butter-flavored shortening
2/3 cup milk
1 egg

Sift dry ingredients.  Cut shortening into dry ingredients with pastry blender.  Add liquid ingredients.  Stir with a spoon, dry and wet ingredients, only until moist.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Pour into greased 8" square pan. 

Topping:  Put on before baking coffee cake.  Use 6 tablespoons of instant cocoa powder (like Nestle Quick).  Make 3 rows of instant cocoa powder on top of coffee cake, 2 tablespoons per row.  With butter knife, draw through batter a large "s".  Make sure that the tip of the butter knife reaches the bottom.  Place 9 teaspoons (dabs) of butter evenly across coffee cake.  Place in oven for 35 minutes (depending on your oven's heat).  Eat as soon as it comes out of the oven!
